"Abbiamo finalmente veri amici del teatro italiano. Sono attivissimi nel difendere i nostri autori. In Italia abbiamo i due professori Roberto Trovato ed Antonia Lezza. A New York abbiamo le registe Jane E. House e Laura Caparrotti. Lodano e mettono in scena sempre autori italiani. J.E. House ha appena riscoperto e messo in scena "Via Toledo" di Raffaele Viviani. Un ricco, divertente spettacolo, con canzoni originali dell'autore (Martin Hennessy al piano). Folto pubblico che ha fatto alla fine molte domande sul futuro di Viviani a New York. Ebbene, A. Lezza (che lo ha pubblicato e suggerito) e J. E. House che ce lo ha proposto e brillantemente diretto hanno aperto le porte per una riscoperta del grande Viviani. We finally have real friends of the Italian theatre. They are very active in defending our authors. In Italy we have the two professors, Roberto Trovato and Antonia Lezza. In New York we have the directors Jane E. House and Laura Caparrotti. They are always praising and staging Italian playwrights. J.E. House has just discovered and staged "Via Toledo" by Raffaele Viviani, a magnificent, amusing work, with original songs by the author (Martin Hennessy at the piano). There was a large audience who at the end asked many questions about the future of Viviani in New York. Well, A. Lezza (who published and suggested it) and J.E. House who produced and directed it brilliantly have opened the door to a rediscovery of the great Viviani. It will generate interest among important American producers.
